Taxis

Taxi prices from Bum (Pronounced boom). But another driver was using their list. He covered up their name with his thumb. He said it was 1..20 to the center of town from the train station. Other drivers said, 2-3 or more euros. I am learning that the private drivers who are not part of a bigger company charge whatever they want to, and if they see a foreigner it will almost always be at least twice as much as the standard prices from the main taxi companies.

One day I noticed these taxi drivers. They were parked near where the busses exit the bus station. One let me take his picture and said it costs 1.20 to go to the center. It seems the honest taxi drivers don't mind if I take their picture. I still don't know why the major companies don't wait right in front of the bus and train station. I am very cuirious now about this.



I have been told it is a little more expensive to call a 97 number than it is to call a regular number. In Bulgaria youi could call a taxi company, let it ring once and hang up. Then they would call you back. That was a nice idea.I would like to see a taxi compnay start that here..
