Economics High School

One day when I was walking around I met these students who go to the economics high school. Coincidentlally, they were skipping English class. They invited me to sit and talk to them, so I did and we practiced a lot of English and some Serbian/Montenegrin. After a while they invited me to go see their class. In their school, as in many schools I have seen in South America and Eastern Europe, the students basically stay in one room all day. In my high school, we moved around from one class to the other. But here it is the teachers who go from one room to another. I was a little afraid they would get in trouble for taking me into their school without the permission of the director, but they assured me it was ok and led the way so I went along to see their classroom.

Here we are inside.

I stayed in just for a few minutes while all the students were on break between classes, then we all went back outside and took these pics. A few days later Carissa and I walked by the school and looked up at their window and some students saw us. They waved and then a few more came to the window and waved.

After I left I talked to these two students as they walked home. They were happy to have a chance to practice their English with someone from America.
